The chief of Google’s AdWords operations, Grady Burnett, will be leaving the company in order to take a position with Facebook.

Burnett will run Facebook’s online advertising sales division, as well as inside sales.

Like Google, Facebook relies heavily on online advertising sales as a source of revenue. Facebook sources say they expect the company to earn between $400-$500 million in revenue in 2009.

Google’s revenue in 2008 was $21.7 billion.
