From the BBC News website:
“Microsoft has started putting the button on its web-based support pages that detail the most common problems hitting PC and Windows users.
Clicking the button kicks off a download that, once run, carries out the series of steps needed to fix a specific problem or remove a bug. ”
This strikes me as an inspired move, but doesn’t it carry the risk of applying the wrong solution, thereby potentially worsening a PC’s condition?
With a little caution, however, this has the potential to make a software company’s life significantly easier.
