If you are using AdWords conversion tracking on your website, you might not have been aware that only one conversion will be counted for a particular visitor. For example, if you have the same conversion tracking code set up on each of your software downloads, you will only see one conversion for a particular visitor, even though they may have downloaded multiple products from your website. This is because a conversion can only be counted once per user.
So how do you tell if your AdWords traffic is performing a particular action multiple times? In the past, you would need to dig deeper within the AdWords reporting center. You may have noticed that for every conversion you were sometimes receiving multiple “transactions”. Each subsequent “conversion” performed by this one visitor was called a “transaction”.
However Google have now moved this value right into the conversion tracking section of your AdWords account. The new name is called “Conversions (many-per-click)”.
At first glance you might find your self confused by the numbers. I will try to explain what the values mean.
Let’s say you have your conversion tracking code on the final page of your shopping cart, the ‘thank you for purchasing my product’ page. Anyone who reaches that page will have purchased a product or multiple products from your website. If “Conversions (1-per-click)” is 1 and “Conversions (many-per-click)” is 1, this would mean that one person clicked on your AdWords ad and purchased one or multiple products from your website. If “Conversions (1-per-click)” is 1 and “Conversions (many-per-click)” is 3, this would mean that one person clicked on your AdWords ad and purchased items on your website three separate times. They may have made the initial purchase and then come back to your website twice more.

Today my conversions (1 per click) is 63 and my conversions (many per click) is 145. My analytics don’t show these conversions as sales or signups just as “hops”. Whar does this mean? Do i have sales, or signups or is it just people flicking through my pages?
Thanks
Jude
Based on your description, it is difficult to tell what is actually occurring on your site.
If you setup separate actions for each type of conversion (sign-up and sale), you should be able to tell how many people clicked on one of your AdWords ads and either performed a sign-up, sale or both.
The first conversion will be counted as a 1-per-click conversion. Each subsequent conversion will be a many-per-click conversion.
