Matt Cutts has written an interesting post on the noindex meta tag and how the different search engines treat it. You might think they all do what it says – in other words, simply don’t index the page – but you’d be wrong.
If you’re at all interested in the ins and outs of search engines, this is well worth a look. It includes screen shots, too, which makes for easier reading on a Friday morning!
