What would you consider to be the most relevant source of information when it comes to what you buy?
Magazines? Online reviews? TV ads?
What about your friends?
TipFrom.Me is a unique service that lets you turn your web customers into an active sales force. Whenever your customers purchase your products they will be given the opportunity to share a “Tip” to their friends, family or anyone through email, tweets, social networks and the web. The great thing about the “Tip” is that it means money off purchasing your products for anyone receiving it, and also a payout to anyone sending it. And a sale for you!
It’s little short of ingenious. I can’t begin to count how many applications, phones, camera lenses, electrical gadgets, books, albums and more I’ve bought after “trusted” friends recommend them.
Look at it as a micro-affiliate system for turning your customers into advocates.
Quick and simple set-up, a flat-fee per sale, no setup fees – it’s the most innovative promotional idea I’ve seen in years.

Call me cynical -but I am less inclined to believe a recommendation if I think someone is getting something out of it. Ariely makes some interesting points about how giving small rewards can actually be counter productive in “predictably irrational”.
Sounds like a great scheme to me. Ok Andy, you’re Cynical (hehe) – how would anyone know you’re getting anything out of it if you are just sharing a link?

Is it possible that you haven’t subscribed to any magazine for a while? This idea is nice and may work but it is not innovative.
