But it makes sense (which is also funny because Oprah was talking about twitter today on her show). I also see a lot of people coming to twitter to hype up their projects of what they're doing for a living too. I came to twitter to follow one of my favorite music acts (okay, BSB, so sue me LMAO, I fall into the '25-34' group), but after sifting through information, I also found a ton of music producers on twitter hyping up their latest creations. You know-- the "we were in the studio with so'n'so today" and "check out my newest creation, this song by such'n'such" I think the biggest appeal of getting the message across via twitter is that it goes through without being overkill.
